The Ability to Live: What Trump’s Health Cuts Mean for People with Disabilities

Excited to share this new video in the series No Body Is Disposable: A Disability Justice Video Series, a collaboration with Patty Berne and Stacey Milbern of Sins Invalid and Hope Dector of the Barnard Center for Research on Women.

In this video Patty and Stacey respond to the Trump administration’s proposed cuts to Medicaid, which will have violent and disastrous effects on people with disabilities. As Patty Berne says: “We need to live! In order to build a movement, there have to be people in those movements that have the capacity to fight. And I feel like the cuts to healthcare services actually cuts right to the core of being able to live.”
